Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow): grows about anywhere in gardens, meadows and lawns of the temperate areas.
it is told that the spots where there are clusters of Achillea growing, are places of high energy and of magical significance. as yarrow is so widespread i take this to mean that magic is everywhere, it is immanent to the living world, prosaic, accessible to everyone that wants to see and use it.
feaver: yarrow makes you sweat and expell. drink warm infusion, wrap up in blankets and enjoy your personal sauna.
digestion: the bitter essences put your stomac juices to work; especially yummy in grappa (or vodka, i assume); i was once served a grappa called "della morte" , "grappa of death", and the main ingredient i could detect was yarrow. It wasn´t that bitter after all though.
menstrual pains: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn´t. best to start taking it regularly a week before the period is due, and all through it. i seldom have the patience and foresight to do this. i always assume that this month i won´t hurt.
