OAT LOVE //
Today I spent time peeling oat seeds by hand.
First of all there are the seeds. Mostly they all look the same, dirty yellow-ish, despite there being lots of different oat varieties.
Sometimes you get the odd brow or balck variety, and that's as exciting as it gets.
These are very special. I will talk about them some other time.
The peeled sees are heary and fluffy, as if they were filled with milk. I wish the Mediterrenean diet had exploited oats more. In that case we would have delicious recipies and could stop pretending porrige is good.
