ANOTHER MISSION FOR S-S-S // UNA NUOVA MISSIONE PER S-S-S

The phone call came last week, as I was chatting with G. in his office.
I listened in as he talked to the woman on the other side of the line.

"Yes, we do. Only really old ones though. "
... ....
"Yes, more than 15 years"
... ...
"You couldn't? No, no need to despair, we might be able to help. We have special techniques to revive them. As long as one or two make it, their survival is ensured."
.. . ..
"I agree, it's important. We will do everything we can. I will send our special unit to come and get them. She will be there at the beginning of next week. How will she find the place?"
... ...

He hung up the phone and looked me in the eye:
"Another mission for you, SUPER SEED SAVER. It' s a tough one, but I am sure we will make it. Now go and prepare yourself."

La telefonata arriva un giorno mentre sto chiaccherando con G. nel suo ufficio.

"Si, siamo noi. Si, solo quelle molto vecchie però"
... ....
"Più di 15 anni"
.. ...
"Non siete riusciti a fare nulla? No, non bisogna perdere la speranza. Qui utilizziamo delle tecniche speciali, basterebbe che uno o due ce la facciano, e si può considerare salva."
.... ...
"Sono daccordo, è molto importante. Faremo il possibile. Manderò la mia unità di pronto intervento a prenderle. Sarà da lei all'inizio della settimana prossima. Come farà a trovarvi?"
... ...

G. attacca la cornetta, e mi guarda negli occhi: "Un'altra missione per te, SUPER SALVATRICE di SEMI. Sarà dura, ma sono sicuro che ce la farai. Ora vai, e preparati."
